WHAT THE PHASE 2
TRIAL FOUND

In the 48-week randomized trial, mean weight change was dose-dependent: −8.7% at 1 mg, −17.1% in combined 4 mg groups, −22.8% in combined 8 mg groups, and −24.2% at 12 mg, versus −2.1% with placebo.

The study enrolled adults with obesity or overweight plus a weight-related condition. These findings apply to the trial population and investigational material used under clinical controls—not unverified retail products.

MECHANISM THREE SIGNALS, ONE MOLECULE
GIP

Nutrient response

Engages glucose-dependent nutrient signaling pathways involved in insulin response and energy balance.

GLP-1

Satiety signaling

Engages pathways associated with appetite, gastric emptying, and glucose-dependent insulin secretion.

GCG

Energy metabolism

Engages glucagon-receptor pathways studied for effects on hepatic metabolism and energy expenditure.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS
REPORTED

This is safety reporting from the published trial—not customer testimonials.

Most common observations

  • Gastrointestinal events were most common.
  • Events were dose-related and mostly mild to moderate.
  • Lower starting doses partly reduced GI effects.
  • Heart rate increased dose-dependently, peaked at week 24, then declined.
  • Altered or enhanced skin sensation was reported as mild to moderate.

WHAT WE STILL
DON’T KNOW.

Long-term safety and effectiveness await full phase 3 review and regulatory evaluation.

Retatrutide has not been approved by any regulatory agency.
